Albarossa is a crossbreed between Nebbiolo (di Dronero) and Barbera created less than a hundred years ago. It is still quite infrequent but at the same time it's very much beloved by the specialists because of its elegant tannins.
Colle Manora takes great care of this vine with handpicking of the grapes and ageing of twelve months in steel vats plus eighteen months in the bottle. As a result Ray is an amazing wine with ruby red tones, spices and red fruit aromas, velvety and smooth taste.
It comes with five years ageing but it can rest in the bottle for another few years.
