Lovers of Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile know that it is not always necessary to open a bottle of Vino Nobile to fully enjoy the flavors of Montepulciano: a Rosso di Montepulciano done well is more than enough. Le Bèrne produces this Rosso from the same grapes as the Nobile, but with a different aging process. Its full taste is well balanced between soft tannins and the rustic sincerity of the Sangiovese.
