U-Tabarka's Tabarkino is a Carignano del Sulcis planted on French rootstock as the Phylloxera pest never reached the beautiful Island of San Pietro here in the south of Sardinia.
Tabarkino is an intense and yet fresh red wine of which less than 3.000 bottles per year are produced.
There is no oak in the making because U-Tabarka prefers to let the wines express themselves without any interference.
In Tabarking you will find red fruit and spicy aromas that will turn into balsamic notes after a while. To the palate the taste is well balanced with nice, gentle tannins that make it perfect with red meat.
PAIRING: ragout pasta, red meat, cheese
