The Barolo Cerretta by Giovanni Rosso is unanimously recognized as one of the finest expressions from Serralunga d’Alba, a region known for its most austere and enduring Barolos in the Langhe.
Wine Spectator, always an accurate observer of the best Piedmontese wines, described it as follows: “Fragrant and rich, this red wine offers a heart of strawberry and cherry, while floral aromas and flavors of mint and hay create a solid structure.”
The Giovanni Rosso Barolo Cerretta is vinified using traditional methods: 25 days of skin contact with daily punch-downs and a délestage halfway through, followed by aging for approximately 30 months in large French oak barrels.
This extraordinary wine is already enjoyable now but can be cellared for at least another 10 years.
