The Sagrantino is this great little treasure of Montefalco, in the province of Perugia.
The grape that produces the darkest wine in Italy. It is a gem for connoisseurs and boasts many enthusiasts.
Its vinification at the Bocale winery involves maceration on the skins for 40 days with natural yeasts, arriving at full completion in barrique barrels (for 24 months) without going through any stabilization or filtration process, earning it the Vegan label. In the mouth it is a velvety, soft and persistent joy.
In this video Valentino Valentini, owner of the Bocale winery, describes it.
