LA MAGNOLIA (Spessa di Cividale – Udine)

The appellation Friuli Colli Orientali is a small portion of the Italian northern Region Friuli very close to the Slovenian border. It’s a very hilly and chalky area, therefore perfect for the production of quality wines like the local varieties Ribolla Gialla, Friulano (previously known as Tocai) and Refosco but also suitable for a full expression of the International varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.

Here in these, hills where the cold northern winds are mitigated by the warmth of the Adriatic sea, are the 40 hectares (around 98 acres) of La Magnolia, winery and estate established forty years ago by Grandfather Guido and today headed by Cristina Cozzarolo.

La Magnolia produces a great variety of white and red wines, all characterized by an extraordinary elegance and pleasantness.
