There is no doubt that Tuscany is the leading region of the Italian wine in the world due to the perfect match of various conditions: beautiful landscapes, sites rich of culture, artistic treasures, fantastic terroir and last but not least the great capacity of the producers to always be ready to explore new solutions.
The Sangiovese grapes are of course the star. And so we talk about Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. But it is also well known that in Tuscany some international varieties (mainly Merlot and the two Cabernet) could grow so great and generate the so called „Supertuscans“.
Our research work lead us to onboarding six wineries from Tuscany.
From the Brunello di Montalcino wine district we have Pietroso and Corte dei Venti, both simply unforgettable for high quality and elegance.
Fattoria Svetoni offers, among other, a very authentic Chianti dei Colli Senesi and a flawless Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Le Bèrne is located in Montepulciano too, in the Cervognano zone, and offers a fantastic Rosso di Montepulciano together with a spectacular Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and a simply extraordinary, magic Vin Santo.
Pometti is located a little further North in the direction of Siena and is mostly focused on significant Supertuscans like 106 (made with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon) and Tinotre (with 100% Cabernet Franc).
Podere Fornace Prima (organic certified) is close to Florence and works in biodynamic on traditional wines like Trebbiano, Chianti and a very interesting 100% Canaiolo (Tindilloro).
