CORTONA DOC SMERIGLIO SYRAH 2022 - BARACCHI

It is well known that the Cortona area in the province of Arezzo is one of the most suitable in Italy for the production of Syrah grapes.

A tradition that began more than 40 years ago and one that the Baracchi winery has embraced with pleasure, drawing on their deep knowledge of this territory where they have been cultivating wine for almost 150 years.

The Baracchi Syrah Smeriglio is a full-bodied red that reaches the bottle after a long and meticulous process: 25 days of fermentation, followed by 12 months of maturation in French barrique barrels and then a few more months of rest in the bottle.

The ruby red color is inviting, as are the typical aromas of the variety: pepper and coffee, with a hint of vanilla to soften the olfactory sensation.
On the palate, the Smeriglio Syrah is captivating, vibrant, never leaning on tertiary notes, but rather developing a fresh character after a few minutes of waiting in the glass.


PAIRING: It pairs excellently with succulent meat dishes.
