This Barbaresco is history. It comes from the Cru Asili facing south-west in the village of Barbaresco.
The vinification is in wood for 24 months, partly in oak casks and partly in French barrique with a final agein in the bottle for 6 months.
To the nose it is very intense with marasca cherries and violet aromas, followed by black pepper, liquorice and goudron notes.
The taste is dry, warm and complex.
It goes well with meat and mature cheese. You can drink it now or forget it in the cellar for another 10-15 years to taste the evolution.
