CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG 2020 - BORGO LA STELLA

The 2020 vintage in the Chianti area was characterized by optimal weather conditions, especially in the Radda area and particularly during the weeks in September leading up to the harvest, with delightfully sunny days.

For this vintage, the oenologist of Borgo La Stella, Maurizio Alongi, chose to mature the Chianti in used tonneaux barrels for 12 months, followed by an extended period in the bottle—a step necessary to achieve the proper refinement for a wine produced from bush-trained vineyards at around 600 meters above sea level.

The Borgo La Stella Chianti Classico 2020 is a wine that is both fresh and mature, reminiscent of the cherry pit.

It can continue to rest in the bottle for several more years before being uncorked.
