The magic of Etna Rosso is marvelously expressed in this bottle from the tiny winery Caruso with its vineyards at 800 meters above sea level on the south slope of the Etna Volcano.
Very low yields (around 4 to 5 tons per hectare) for a blend made with 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio, the two typical vines of the Etna Rosso DOC.
The ageing is for twelve months in French oak and you can taste it through the harmonious aromas of red berries and chocolate. The mineral final makes it a great companion for meat, vegetables and cheese.
