Montecucco is one of the many areas in Tuscany where wine is made using Sangiovese grapes.
What makes Poderi Borselli's Montecucco different is the vineyard altitude and the natural method of production.
The Marracone vineyard, which gives the name to this red wine, is located at 480 meters above sea level. This makes it a "mountain wine".
For the making of Marracone only natural methods are used: organic farming, including biodynamics principles, spontaneous fermentation, manual stirring.
The aging takes two years and is partly done in tonneaux, partly in oak and partly in stainless steel.
Poderi Borselli's Marracone is a fresh and fragrant wine with cherry and violet aromas. Delicate tannins and perfectly balanced taste.
PAIRING: Marracone is a wine for red meat indeed. Try it with wild boar.
