Vinicola Cicella (Torricella - Taranto)

Vinicola Cicella is located in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria wine district with 30 hectares (around 74 acres) of vineyards.

All vineyards are very close to the coast and take benefit from the refreshing sea wind.

Here the land is red because of the breaking up of the chalky soil turning into clay. This is what makes the local Primitivo (also known as Zinfandel in the USA) so tasty and powerful.

The leaders of the winery are two brothers Schifone: Cosimo is the vineyard expert, while Michele is the oenologist who cares for the winemaking process.

Both are perfectly aware that a good wine originates from the vineyards and the care in the cellar will turn it into a little prodigy.

Vinicola Cicella wines are full bodied and intense totally in line with the Apulian tradition.
