Pesasco is an amazing Barbera Superiore d'Asti.
For this wine the Durio brothers pick selected grapes from a north exposed vineyard in Agliano Terme, the heart of Barbera d'Asti.
After 7 days of maceration at 28 degrees and the malolactic fermentation the wine will rest 6 months in stainless steel and then 12 months in Slavonian oak.
We have a powerful Barbera with surprising minerality where notes of graphite will show up together with the typical violet and cherry aromas.
Earth and mushroom round up the bouquet.
To the palate it's warm and smooth with great persistence.
Durio's Barbera D'Asti Superiore Pesasco is good now but it can age in the bottle for another 10-12 years.
PAIRING: great with the typical specialities from Piedmont. Game, cheese.
