Cuore di Marchesa (Castiglione di Sicilia - Catania)

Cuore di Marchesa is the winery founded by Pietro di Giovanni following his long and enriching experience gained over many years as an oenologist at Etna-area cellars.

An endeavor that, together with his contribution to the Produttori Etna Nord project, helped build a highly esteemed reputation.

Today, all this expertise serves his own estate, supported by his family and spanning four hectares in Solicchiata, a hamlet of Castiglione di Sicilia.

The vineyards, mainly pre-phylloxera Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, are located at 750 meters above sea level, with significant day-night temperature swings in July and August that endow the grapes with a rich aromatic profile and acidity.

Treatments follow organic principles, and cover cropping is practiced to naturally enrich the soil.

Cuore di Marchesa is an estate where the beauty of the territory is faithfully reflected in the glass.
