Poggio dell'Aquila is a small Montalcino estate run by the Cosimi family, working about 10 hectares entirely planted to Sangiovese.

The estate is located just 2 km from the village center, atop a hill — a poggio, as the name suggests — at around 450 meters above sea level.

The estate follows the traditional Montalcino approach: few bottles, but high quality, achieved both through meticulous vineyard work (strict selection and low yields) and careful winemaking.

Poggio dell'Aquila is a perfect example of a winery deeply rooted in its territory and a fine expression of the great Montalcino tradition.
