La Contrada di Sorano, a tiny winery in Serralunga d'Alba, produces only 736 bottles of this Barolo. The cru is on the Serralunga hill facing Diano d'Alba with the typical Sant'Agata Fossil Marls soil and a not too sunny exposure. For this reason this Barolo is robust but also "fresh" to drink.
The ageing in 500 liters wood barrels takes 26 months, then in stainless steel and finally in the bottle until the DOCG guidelines are fulfilled for starting the sale.
This Barolo has intense and rich aromas, a smooth and full-bodied taste, amazing persistence.
