Tenuta La Pergola's Bric du Sivu is an imposing blend of Barbera (40%), Nebbiolo (30%) and Croatina (30%).
Croatina is a rare grape variety that is going through an increasing success due to its capacity to provide colour and softness both when blendedwith other grapes and when vinified alone.
Bric du Sivu is a full bodied and austere wine but still easy to drink despite the remarkable alcoholic content.
The three grape varieties are harvested and processed separately with 18 months aging in barrique barrels.
Nice ruby red colour in the glass with light garnet reflections.
Black cherry in alcohol, dried flower petals, tobacco and peppercorn to the nose.
Thanks to the long time in oak Bric du Sivu has smooth tannins that make the wine nice to chew without making it too heavy.
Great persistence and cellar aging perspectives.
PAIRING: red meat, stew, fillet, mature cheeses
