As Gianni Brezzo, the owner and son of the founder Michele, explained to us during a tasting we had together, the Barbera 'Ahuè' takes its name from the location of the vineyards from which this wine is harvested.
In fact, these vineyards are located to the west of the house/winery, so when it's time to go check the rows, it is customary to say 'I'm going west,' which in the Piedmontese dialect sounds like 'ahuè' and has become a trademark.
Brezzo's Barbera Piemonte DOC is a simple and straightforward wine that gets straight to the point: red aromas and fresh acidity.
A gastronomic and everyday wine with a pleasant drinkability that never tires.
PAIRINGS: appetizers, savory pies, white meats, and fresh cheeses.
