Il Vecchio Poggio (Isola del Liri - Frosinone)
Il Vecchio Poggio is the small artisanal winery founded in 2017 by Amedeo Iafrati together with his wife, Gabriella Buffone.
From the very beginning, the estate chose to work without compromises, following a clear and uncompromising philosophy:
natural vineyard management,
spontaneous fermentations,
the use of terracotta amphorae for wine maturation,
no filtration,
no clarification,
minimal amounts of sulfites.
The wines of Il Vecchio Poggio are an authentic expression of Ciociaria, the lush hilly agricultural landscape in which the winery is located.
It is thanks to Il Vecchio Poggio that the ancient Lazio grape variety Lecinaro has been rediscovered and brought back to the attention of wine lovers.
