Chessa Azienda Vitivinicola (Usini – Sassari)
Usini is one of Sardinia’s most suitable areas for wine production, thanks to its hills at around 200 meters above sea level, the cool Maestrale winds, rainy winters, and calcareous‑clay soil.
In this beautiful corner of Sardinia, the Chessa family has produced wine for over 60 years with great devotion to indigenous grape varieties, particularly Cagnulari, which finds its finest expression right here.
But also Vermentino and Cannonau, Sardinia’s great classics.
Low yields, well below 100 quintals per hectare, and productions carefully crafted in detail for this small yet historic winery of 15 hectares and 60,000 bottles per year.
