Cora Weingut (Appiano sulla strada del vino - Bolzano)
The Cora Winery is the story of a geologist passionate about wine who becomes a winemaker and wine producer.
It is the wonderful story of Lorenz San Nicolò who, together with his wife Elisabeth (Sissi), decides to dedicate himself to the passion of his life by buying a hectare of vineyard in South Tyrol on what is called The Wine Road, the wine disctrict between Bolzano and Salorno.
Lorenz combines passion and expertise, thanks also to the help of local winemakers who are driven by a great sense of community.
In the warmer part of the vineyard, he planted Merlot, while in the cooler part he chose to cultivate Moscato Giallo (Goldmuskateller), later adding Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon, and Petit Manseng.
In total, we are talking about just one hectare of vineyard, which allows Lorenz to always maintain complete control of the vineyard and produce well-crafted and delicious wines.
