The best grapes from the best hills of Irpinia become Taurasi Opera Mia following the rigid guidelines of the DOCG. It's a terrific, rich wine that ages twelve months in barrique and twenty-four months in stainless steel plus at least twelve more months in the bottle before reaching the shops.
When we tasted the Taurasi Opera Mia by Tenuta Cavalier Pepe we were amazed by the complex bouquet of violet, cherry and spices. The aftertaste is splendid with chocolate nuances and very clean tannins.
PAIRING: Perfect with meat and game, it will be great with cheese and pasta with meat sauce.
