This is the flagship wine of the Donato D’Angelo winery.
In fact, this is where everything began for this small family-run estate in Basilicata.
The grapes are harvested by hand from a selection of vineyards in the Barile area, on volcanic soils at an altitude of around 600 metres above sea level.
After fermentation, the wine matures in tonneaux for 18 months.
It is a warm, rich wine with spicy notes, typical of the Aglianico grape. On the palate it is enveloping, with tannins that are never overpowering.
PAIRINGS: it is undoubtedly a wine for red meats.
