
The Grasso family has been dreaming of planting Riesling grapes for a long time before they eventually decided to do so in year 2009. The amazing success of this wine is a fantastic achievement.
The grapes come from the freshest hills facing north with calcareous and sandy soil. After the pressing and the fermentation Ca del Baio's Riesling matures in the tank with stirring sur lie for 12 months prior to bottling.
It's a very intense wine with pineapple and mango aromas, dry in the mouth, elegant and with a good acid/alcohol balance.
The mineral tones will increase if stored for several years.
